Clearing Space Within, Touching the Sky with our Hearts: A Day Retreat with Simone Nitzan & Jeffrey Cupchik

Monday, February 19th 2024 from 9 am – 5 pm

“Our one day retreat with Simone was magical. After a few hours of yoga with Simone, my chronic hip pain disappeared! Magical day on every front!”

– Annette M

As humans, we are vibrating, rhythmic, sonorous beings.

Yet, experiences in our bodies are often unconsciously registered.

Together, we’ll invite the possibility of bringing conscious awareness to our breath,

and to our inner voice, and then to our outer voice as a healing expression of what is within.

Then we’ll connect with our rhythmic presence,

and to the sacred aspects of our consciousness,

We’ll recognize and create a sacred space together in which to hold this awareness.

We’ll practice mindful self-compassion to keep that space open, a creative space where we choose how we wish to sound in the world–both to ourselves, and to others.

Gaining resonance in our voices, being true to our deeper center as we engage with life’s challenges during these complex times, will help us to better manage the unexpected, and recognize possibilities for flourishing in the year ahead.

Instructors

Simon Nitzan

BHK, MSc., E-RYT 500, Lead Instructor for YTT & Beyond

Simone is inspired by how the ancient wisdom of yoga can be applied to our lives in the modern world today. Hatha Yoga has the power to heal our over-stimulated nervous system with its multitude of practices, while yoga philosophy leads us to a more sustainable and positive lifestyle, grounded in love for ourselves, all beings and our beautiful planet. Simone is the lead teacher in the ClearBeing Yoga Teacher Training and Beyond Course

Jeffrey Cupchik

Dr. Jeffrey W. Cupchik is a medical ethnomusicologist, composer, musician, educator, and author of the new book with SUNY Press, The Sound of Vultures’ Wings: The Tibetan Buddhist Chöd Ritual Practice of the Female Buddha Machik Labdrön.

Having studied closely with Tibetan Buddhist masters for over 25 years, he contributes a unique perspective to cultivating wellbeing through music and meditation in daily life.

Drawing from his new online course curriculum, “Music for Health and Wellness”; this workshop invites you to learn and practice empirically tested tools utilizing music and sound that can lead to human flourishing.

Whether you love music, or you cultivate a close relationship with silence, this day retreat will invite you to explore ways that feel comfortable to you, in how your outward expression can be formed from a place of compassionate inner listening.

Simone and Jeff will be your mutually supportive, sensorium-sensitive, and compassionate co-leads of this unique opportunity to share experiences within a safe sacred space, to explore powerful cues to enhanced wellbeing through movement and breath, vibrational aspects of our consciousness, and our mind-body relationship.

We’ll deepen our ability to tune into our true inner voice, to observe our consciousness that exists deeper within, beyond the voice in our heads. We’ll dive into our sense of introspection, gaining an understanding of what is happening in our bodies and the sensations that arise. Through the practices offered we’ll explore the connections between our bodies, minds and spirits.
