Sunrise Yoga w/ Art

Peace, joy, laughter, and good health. This class will provide opportunities for all. Not just during the class, but in ways that can be applied to every moment of every day.

This class combines traditional meditative, spiritual Yoga with the more common physical practice found in most yoga studios. There will be a focus on the physical strength and flexibility improvements attainable through the Asana practice as well as the stress reduction and emotional enlightenment that comes with sharing yoga philosophy and traditional yoga practices.

Class themes are inspired by a variety of yoga philosophy topics/subjects that are greatly relevant to living as spiritual beings in a modern world such as compassion, gratitude and self reflection. Things may get deep…but there will also be some fun and laughter!

This class is open for all experience levels.

When sharing my practice with others I bring passion, enthusiasm, social connection, physical conditioning, a little laughter as well as emotional and spiritual energy. I find ways to incorporate my love for people, the planet, and the animals. Most of all, I bring sincere appreciation for what Yoga can do for us all and look forward to helping others as we all find our individual yet connected paths through this life.

I absolutely cherish the opportunity to help others experience the instant and long-term peace and joy found during the practice of Yoga. Yoga found me at a time in my life when I needed it most and I am thankful to all those who shared their insights and experiences with others.

I have been a Clinical Exercise Physiologist and High-Performance Specialist for most of my life. I have also taught a variety of fitness classes over the years but never Yoga. I had always thought Yoga was about flexibility and functional strength. While those are important and beneficial components to Yoga, I’m now proud to recognize that Yoga is so much more. Immeasurably more. I’ve experienced negative stress in the past and I’ve allowed it to affect me not just emotionally but physically. I’m fortunate to say that, through Yoga, I’ve also created positive energy and used traditional yoga practices to heal my physical and emotional ailments as well as create a constant mind-set of abundance and gratitude.
